The Broadwater herd was founded in 1980 with 2 British Alpine goats one of which was in kid to SM §29/166† Uffdown Herod and she produced
R128 Broadwater Polly* Br Ch BA9646D who became the herd's first breed champion. R184 Brambings Foxglove Q* HB054964D another daughter of Uffdown Herod joined the herd in 1985.

All the Broadwater BA's descend from these two goats, and for a number of generations were line bred to Uffdown Herod and his son Uffdown Fairway.

Exhibited extensively, with many prize winners in adult and young stock classes.
R197 Broadwater Pomegranit Q*3 BrCh BA016235D Best Female at 2000 Breed Show and female half of the winning pair at the National Breed Shows"pairs" competition in 2000. Won a total of 5CC's 14BCC's and 1 IPCC in a showing career restricted by the Foot and Mouth movement restrictions in the UK.
Exports to France and Barbados.
Intermittent official milk recording.
Whole herd annual CAE tested negative since 1986.
Scrapie monitored.
British Toggenburg and British goats are also kept.

Broadwater Felicia BA 017103D  grand daughter of Broadwater Faline BrCh (see above) by Broadwater Frankie son of Broadwater Francesca Q*2 HB070269D, who is the white goat in the next pen. Francesca is a direct descendent in the female line from Bramblings Foxglove The goats are out in a field every day(weather permitting).
